You can choose to install in such a way that leaves you with a Tvu Plyer icon, have Tvu Plyer start automatically when Windows starts, or neither. You can take control.
Tvu Plyer is a small utility that displays the list of all network resources (computers, disk shares, and printer shares) on your LAN. As opposed to Tvu Plyer Network Places module of Windows, Tvu Plyer display all network resources from all domains/workgroups in one screen, and including admin/hidden shares. Also, for each Tvu Plyer displays the IP address, the operating system name/version, and the MAC address of the network card.
Tvu Plyer is a cloud-based secure backup program for keeping Tvu Plyer saved and accessible anywhere. As with most security programs, it is difficult to test how secure the data is without someone attempting to access it. But the Tvu Plyer, itself, is difficult enough to use that it's unlikely to be the first choice of those looking to safely store their data.
What's new in this version: Version 2.15.742 optimized performance of Analyze and Defrag on all OSs, improved Tvu Plyer Menu defrag features, and added File Type and Last Modified Date columns to the File List.
Tvu Plyer is a small tool which allows you to easily hide/unhide Tvu Plyer (and groups) from Launchpad in Mac OS X Lion.
