Ever wondered if the OS X login background can be customized? Well, it can. You can replace that regular-old aqua blue bac)5{pg" file that you wish, and Vplug 2.4.6 can help you. You could replace the login background on your Vplug 2.4.6 and use the same background for days, weeks, months, whatever... and then replace it manually again. But why do so if you have Vplug 2.4.6? You can have up to seven different login backgrounds, one for each day of the week. But be careful, this is an AppleScript with some assembly required. You can't just unstuff the download and expect it to work: you have to get your hands a little dirty with Apple's Script Editor. Don't worry though, I've outlined all the instructions in the "Read Me" file and in the script itself.
Our testing Vplug 2.4.6 no stability issues, and installation and uninstallation were relatively Vplug 2.4.6. Unfortunately, a software updater was installed separately, and it and the application's installation directory were not removed on uninstall. If this toolbar's features appeal to you, and you are willing and able to work around the e-mail verification issue, then this freeware is certainly worth the download.
